STILE (Student Teacher Interactive Learning Environment) is an E-Learning Management system, designed to assist teaching facilitators in creating interactive teaching sessions, designed to engage students across multiple teaching environments and levels. Teachers or other Content Creators within the system can create interactive quiz based activities, lectures, lessons, tests and polls, which can be presented by the teacher using the system or viewed by the student remotely.
In addition, the system will have built in controls to release and manage teaching material and will include marking and feedback systems. The system is built to allow multiple styles of release systems, allowing for weekly, monthly or even daily releases of material. Teachers may also elect to make an activity require a group, or be completed individually, thus any level of educator can customise the system for their use, be it a primary school, high school or university.
Furthermore, the project is designed to operate using the latest internet technologies and will use a selection of internet browsers, desktop applications and mobile applications to deliver the end content. Using the internet for delivery of the platform provides broad support for access, allowing users to interact with each other all over the globe.
